Pot Of Gold

I have really been searching for some fun St. Patrick's Day ideas. Boy #1 has recently declared that" it's not a very fun holiday, all you do is wear green." Well it's time to make St. Patty's day a fun and exciting day. Love Actually Blog had the cute idea of Terra Cotta pots filled with Rolos to look like little pots of gold. I took it a step further and painted my pots, which were really cheap at Michael's craft store, with chalkboard spray paint. I like how they turned out and that i could write little messages on the pots. I have yet to master the art of spray painting and as i have mentioned before, have the patients of a small child so there are a few gazillion drips because i didn't do light coats like i should have but hey that's my life!  I got one pot for each of the boys in my house. I'm 100% certain that their eye's will light up when they see the pot's of gold and realize it's chocolate. Chocolate is definitely the way to my boys and hubby's hearts.

  1. So cute! Jaime, you are so creative. How on earth do you find time to do all this fun stuff. I can't let my kids know everything they are missing out on. But you are motivating me to do more fun, creative things with the kiddos.
